June 1st Albertsons deals for week:

$62.36 in product paid just $12.17 a savings of 81%. I got the Ronzoni pasta for free.

June 3rd went to the bread store. I freeze the loaves, this will last most of the month. I estimated the price to be around $10 at the store. I paid $6.44 for a savings around 35%.

At Rite Aid had a great sale on Banana Boat B1G1 Free. Reg price is $21.98. I paid $3 out of pocket. A savings of 83%.

And last in the picture is my free Netty Pot I got in the mail that day. I liked them on Face book and they sent me one. Need to try it out!

This is my Bountiful Basket. This was my first week to try them out. It is a co-op. I have 3 words: Yumm, Yumm, Yummy! If you haven't heard about them yet go check them out http://bountifulbaskets.org On the web it states each regular basket is around $50 dollars worth of produce. I paid $19.50 ($15 for produce, $1.50 process fee and $3 first time basket fee). A savings of 61%

So for week 1 total reg amount would have been $144.34 I only paid $41.11. A savings of 71%!

For us, it is worth it.

Ok so I got into this couponing thing back around Feb of this year. It was a fun new challenge for me to see how much money I can save our family. But it soon became overwhelming. I remember taking too long at the store, frustrated, disorganized, and exhausted I sat in the car thinking to myself that this was not working. Sure I had seen savings but was how I ended up feeling worth it? Thats when I gave myself a little pep talk and remembered why I wanted to do this coupon thing.... to save my family money. I want to save enough to help me be able to stay home with my girl. I reminded myself that coupons are as good as money and I get "paid" what I put into it. So I went home and that night started searching the web thinking that I want to do this, but there has to be a better way. I had already went to the free coupon class mind you... thats what sent me to the store with coupons in the first place. The class was a great start but I needed more infomation. Thats when I realized what bloggers are for. I gained lots more information and found how the sales work. Now I pretty much check these sites for the sales and coupons needed and make my shopping list from these sites. I can now say that it is not always easy and sometimes the store is out of what I went for. But I DO feel it is worth it, within 5 months we have a pretty good stock up. And have saved money! But how much... to show myself and hubby I took pics and tracked our household groceries for June. While it is not perfect savings it is what I feel as pretty realistic for my family. I would like to see better results for July (I am still trying to set a realistic butget for our family). But the month of June is not too bad considering we had 3 birthdays, baby shower, fathers day, and 2 camping trips and a surprize visit from my sister and her family. I also wanted to share with you my family and friends. I broke June down week by week. And will give a total at the end. I hope that sharing will help those who are just starting out or are thinking about this coupon thing. Thanks for reading let me know if you have questions.

I have to say that I love this one. We were challenged by Celina on Lets Scrap to reuse something. The idea came to me late one night around 3:45 am when I was trying to get back to sleep after putting Mistie back to bed. Don't you just love how some of your best thinking is either late at night or in the shower! The challenge popped into my head and I was thinking on what I can use. Somehow the thought of Mistie's little Minnie Mouse color book came into my mind because at the end of it was this mirror. The title came to me from Tim McGraw's song "My Little Girl". I hope it is a reminder to her through the years that no matter how she is feeling about herself, she will always be beautiful.

Hi there ladies! Here is my 2nd LO for Lets Scrap design team. This was a FUN challenge. Hi there, Happy Mother's Day to all you beautiful ladies. Hope you have a wonderful blessed day! I am getting to scrap a bit while Mistie takes a nap. So here is what I have been up to lately. I made some cards for some wonderful ladies in my life. And for my sisters and sister in law I took pics of there kids and made a small Layout for them for mother's day. I am going to make a special page for my mom too but I need to get a pic of her and I. Completed a few challanges and got the LO done for the design team on Let's Scrap but have to wait to post that one. So be sure to check back! This next week is going to be crazy, we are going to have our 5th annual LUAU/BBQ this coming Sat May 16th. So with getting the yard ready and food prep and putting together a scavenger hunt for the kids, I am not sure if I will get any scrapping done. But if I do I will post it for ya. Oh and by the way my hubby and I celebrated 10 years on my 1st.

The LO of us is special because it is the first page with his journaling!

Terry has a challange in Lets Scrap where you were to take something and stamp with it. I took the negatives from some die cuts and placed them on white cardstock. I then took my stamp pads and pressed the color onto the paper. It left the shapes for the bird and the flowers. I then cut them out and outlined them with a pen. I love how it turned out. I used basic white CS, orange CS from DWCV, Ink, ribbon, and brads from Joann's and CM pens.

I asked the gals to do a LO using the same photo but print it in different colors. I have posted my example. I created this page from one of my sketches. I used printed paper from DCWV, basic white card stock, yellow, grey, and blue paper and letters from Creative Memories, and grey ink. I printed one photo in black/white, one in antique, and one normal color. I am up early, having some coffee before I need to get ready for church. Thougt I would share what I got done yesterday. We have a sketch of the week on Let's Scrap and the Potty page goes with that challange. Then I am playing Scrap Idol as well on the group and we had to do a spring page (got this idea off of the cover of Creating Keepsakes mag) and the second piture is for that challange. It is raining here today so I am hoping to finish some sketch drawings I am working on and make birthday thank you's to send out. Talk to ya later.

Been quite busy the last few months. But I am back and plan on keeping you updated better. I have really gotten into my scrapbooking latley. Which is awesome. I have been working a lot of extra hours at work and it is stressful. So after I put Mistie to bed in the evenings instead of watching TV I go to my little spot and just enjoy some creative time. I am loving it. I am getting way more done; I am almost through the first year in Mistie's book. Last night I did this page, I love it!

So, I need to catch up here. It's been a while since my last post. My job is going well, settling into my new position. We are busy around here at home getting ready for Christmas. I am in full swing with all of my Christmas crafts for gift giving. I must say I am pretty ambitious this year. But I am staying on top of it and hoping to be done with my projects by Dec 19th. Then I can slow down in time to enjoy the holidays. Our little girl is 21 months today. And she is just amazing us with how much she changes everyday. Her vocabulary is growing everyday too. She is so fun. I love being her mom.

New position at my job...

Well since February I have been working two different departments. It started out with helping the other dept which was overloaded. As it turns out, I was offered a positision with them. So as of Nov 3rd I will be working in Real Estate Services at my local bank in town--Intermountain Communtiy Bank. I am excited, after working 8 years in my previous position I am ready for a change. And it will be so good to learn the mortgage side of the banking world.

So I love to scrapbook but find it hard to balance everything. With a family, work, and a house to run I am only finding time to do a page here or there. It is frustrating because I see the pictures stacking up again. I told my husband the other night that "this table is never coming down". The table is in the living room next to a book shelf and this is my scrap area. I hope by keeping my scrap supplies out, I will work on it as often as I can. I find myself waking up at night with ideas and daydreaming at work about my scrapbooking. Sighhhhh, I need a long weekend where I can just scrap away.

Hi there, this is my first blog page and I haven't decided what I will share on this yet. So for now I will just use this as a journal for everyday events in our household. Today was a crazy day. I worked way later than I had planned on and so Dean and Mistie ate dinner with his mom. I skipped dinner and went to weight watchers and lost 4 lbs. Yeah me! I am going to end up working tomorrow-Friday,(which I usually don't). And for the next month or so will work 40 plus hours to help out with the extra load we have in the dept. It should only last for a month. And then hopefully get back to normal. I am going to miss my 3 days in a row with Mistie but at least I'll earn some extra money. Anyways, it's late and I'm ready for bed.
